My Dear Fellow Members & Colleagues,

I am aware a lot of you might be quite concerned with the current development of the application as Founding Fellows (Grandfather/ Grandmother Fellowship) of both the Provisional HK Academy of Nursing and the HK College of Gerontology Nursing, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you the update decisions in this regard during the last Council Meeting of our College.  They are listed as follows:

1)      The HK College of Gerontology Nursing will apply as one of the Academy Colleges of the Provisional HK Academy of Nursing during the current batch of application exercise.

2)    In the light of present development of the Fellowship Program of our College, in particularly the essential roles undertaking by future Founding Fellows to support such Fellowship Program of our College, the Council has decided that our College will support our qualified College Members to apply for Founding Fellows (Grandfather/ Grandmother Fellowship) of the Provisional Academy of Nursing in 2013. In fact, we have 2 years of “Grace Period” for such application as confirmed by the Academy.

3)     As for those Members or Colleagues who are interested in such application, I would recommend you to enroll as Associate Fellow of our College first. You may log in our College web-site at www.hkcgn.org for the detailed information of membership enrollment.  Our College will contact the paid up Members directly for the required application procedures for 2013 in due course.
